Paragliding can be done with a passenger, this is called tandem flying. Since the Cumulux paragliding club is a non-profit that is mostly concerned with flying solo. Sometimes we offer tandem flights, where any interested person can register in order to do a short flight.
You should be aware that paragliding is a very weather dependent activity. Your tandem pilot will usually able to tell you the day before that it might be possible to fly, but the last decision will happen at the launch site.
Who can participate ?
Like any outdoor sport, you must have a minimum physical condition: you must be able to run ten meters... that's about it. The rest, the pilot takes care of it.
For clothing, bring sporty clothing: shoes, jacket, pants.
The helmet will be provided to you.
Is that risky ?
Like any outdoor sport and as soon as you rise more than 10 cm from the ground, there is a risk... However, this is reduced to a minimum by the procedures put in place, the equipment used and pilot training/experience.
Every piece of equipment is checked regularly. Incidents are extremely rare.
In addition, each tandem pilot has insurance covering the passenger.
How it works ?

Then, we will contact you personally to set a meeting time. The flights are taking place according to the weather. The lighter ones take off in the morning and at the end of the day. Anyway it's impossible to accurately predict more than 2 days in advance.
D-Day ?
You come to the meeting point at the appointed time.
We will take you to the takeoff where you will meet the assigned pilot.
He will explain the procedure to you and prepare you for the flight, nothing complicated. It takes about 45 minutes in total. The flight itself lasts between 5 and 10 minutes depending on the weather conditions of the day.
